The wireless is security encrypted (by YOU)? It is staggering just how many are not, I can pick up three house wireless networks in our street - and there are only 18 houses!

Two answers.
1. Speedchecker here
2. Go into the router settings (type 192.168.2.1 in your browser address bar and press Enter)
The username and password should be blank so just click Submit.
Click DHCP client list to see who's connected at any time. The nam's may not mean anything so you will need to check your computer's name.
Did you apply wireless security at all?

if your hard wired and your wireless light is flashing then someone nearby is using you wireless connection although the wireless light will flash every now and then ,just a short burst of data sending out info saying im here ready when you are ,constant flash is not good
not sure what model number yours is but guess its in here somewhere
http://www.belkin.com/support/article/? ... 7&scid=221
you can also download a manual for it from there
you need to set up wireless security ,WPA is supposed to be more secure
write down the key somewhere safe
once you have set it you should really test it ,can you connect up wireless anyhow ? or a friend with a laptop ?
if you have done it correct it will ask you for a key to enter before letting you in
