B and Q AGAIN

Post by The Weegie »

What is it with the staff that work in this company.

Lazy, Ignorant bast....

I went to the paint mixing station. Two of them were standing talking with there backs facing me. I said twice, excuse me. No answer. One guy turns round and says can I help you. I explained that I wanted white gloss mixed into a particular pink colour. His response was to put the tub in the machine, with the mixer, Pick up a christmas bobble and start practicing his football skills :angryfire: :cussing: He then starts whistling Sectarian football chants :wtf:  I said to him that the mixer had stopped. Yeh just a minute was his response :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:

I was fuc.... raging in that I had took my five year old daughter in to get her paint. She was really excited about it and it was spoiled by these fuc....

what the hell is going on with this company. I would avoid shopping in it, however the 3 DIY stores near me but are all B&Q.
It may seem difficult at first! But everything is difficult at first.

But was the paint the colour you wanted when you got it home? My nearest shed is a Focus, staff are OK, but prices mostly high. I now get most of my stuff from a small firm run by a bloke who used to work for Jewsonns, good service from knowledgeable staff, and better prices.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

Yeh the paint was the right colour. The advantage of B&Q is that it is opened late. It is good in case you need to get something quickly.
Thats about it really.

I went to b&poo the other week to get some paint mixed. Having waited for a few mins for someone to show up at the paint counter I put my order in and then went to look and the paint brushes  (I need to get out more). Sales person came over and said they'd run out of the base colour. As I was in the middle of painting and had run out I asked if the other local store would have it and so she phoned - 5 times and then gave up as she couldn't get thru' to the right dept ::b.

The sales person then said that they would have a new supply of base paint in the next day and I asked if that was gauranteed and she replied deffo, as its in the back but the night shift didn't put it out on the shelves the previous night ::b . After a couple of seconds of stunned silence from me  I asked if she could go in the back and get me a can  - the look of horror on her face but she eventually did :thumbright:

It must be all down to the staff who work in the stores, our local B&Q store staff are really good, helpful, cheerful and more than willing to put themselves out to help.
They very often approach you, if you are obviously looking for something and you can't find it, and ask if you need help.
They all seem to work as a team, so perhaps we are lucky to have such a store or it may come from good management. You can only speak as you find! :thumbright:
