Dehumidifiers? which ones best??

The title says it all really, the bungalow I'm in at present is full of it!

The central heating is close to useless, the hater in my van is better!

I have been in my bungalow for 20 years. During that time ive tried most things to get rid of condensation. I purchased an EBAC dehumidifier 15 years ago and its still working perfect. Removes loads of water in little time but i still have a problem. Im thinking of buying a "Whole house ventilation unit". They are supposed to be excellent at getting rid of condensation. However i cant find anybody whose actually had one fitted and can give an independent review. I put a post on here but didnt get any replies.

as long as it works, they all do the same thing mate! get a branded name and you pay more obviously, but apart from that, its just a condenser in a box, very few moveing parts to go wrong.. and about the full house system, very expensive with no guarantees from the companies it will cure the issue, only help eleviate it.. so no point really..

As I thought, there's no magic wand approach, orderd a 10l dessicant unit, they reckon that the air leaves the machine is 10 to 12 deg's warmer, so bounus!

Update on the dehumidifier, airandwatercenter.com, bunch of arragant t.....s!
Any way, get another unit, still a dessicant unit, but an 8L in 24 hrs, pluged in last night, and in 4 hours it pulled 4 pints of water out of the air!

It's pulled 2L today, dont know how long the tank's been full?
Any of the damp expert type bods? think that these figgures are high? because they do to me!

Be interesting to see if? there is an average extraction rate for an occupied dewlling,

as its a bungalow and only 2 beds, as I say, it seems quite high? :dunno:

Depends on the size and whether the doors are closed.

You will have plenty od water for the garden
