I want to cure the rising damp in my house with a Chemical Damp Proof. In the DIY book I have the images all mlook like there drilling into the mortor. Yet all holes I see on real houses are drilled into the brick! Does it matter where i drill cuz obviously drilling into motor would be a stack easier, which makes me wonder y others havent!
Cheers

It is practice now to drill into the mortar courses, you used to drill the brick up to a few years back but some brainiac scientist for safeguard decided that for 30 years weve all been doing it wrong, but all installers now use creams and ice chemicals which use the mortar beds. but the end of the day do whatever your happy with its your gaff..

Cool. Drilling into mortar the whole way round the house is a hell of a lot easier than fighting the brickwork!! Are you sure the brainiac wasn't just lazy? :)
Thanks for the information m8
