Hi, jus bought some new porcelain floor tiles for my kitchen, it currently has ceramic floor tiles down which are sound and solid, i have 28m sq in total so stripping out the old ceramic would be a nightmare (cement based adhesive on concrete floor) Can i please get some advise on how to prep the ceramic floor before laying the porcelain? Thanx!

Floor leveling compound is what I've seen the Pro's use.

Thanx for the quick reply, up to date ive been told to thoroughly clean the ceramic tiles and use single part flexible adhesive, would this be ok?

I'm not an expert, so wait for them to respond.

My answer was, what I have seen them do on site.

This should not be a problem.

Clean the tiles first using sugar soap, then apply a primer that is recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.

ARDEX X 7 G / X 7 W would be suitable for tiling over existing tiles, I
have attached the info sheet.

For a primer you could use ARDEX P 82 primer

Not sure where they sell it, but they have a useful stockist locator-
