Honda BSB plans secure for 2009

Post by Foggy »

The head of Honda Racing, Neil Tuxworth, says Honda's decision to withdraw from Formula One will have no effect on their British Superbike team.

The Louth-based HM Plant team have been competing in BSB since 2003.

Honda said on Friday that they were pulling out of Formula One and hoped to sell the team by the end of December.

Tuxworth told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Car and motorcycle racing are run by different divisions so this will have no effect on the motorcycling side."

Australians Glen Richards and Josh Brookes will ride for HM Plant Honda in the 2009 British Superbike championship, with Steve Plater competing in the Supersport series and Steve Brogan in Superstock.

thats good news then :thumbright:
