Cleaning Tiles
We've just had our bathroom retiled with ceramic floor and wall tiles. They're still covered in that dust you get so i was wondering if someone could just let me know what i can use to clean them?
They're matt and rough surfaced.
Is washing up liquid and water enough? Or can i use something "stronger"?
I can't be naffed basically and i just want to do it once, rather than having to keep going back cause when they dry i see MORE dust there.

Well, usually i have yes, but my husband ran over the hoover with the car.
So, we're waiting til after Christmas to buy a new one.
As i just mentioned it to him though he assures me that he can ram the relevant end on for me to use tomorrow, so yeah, i do have one of those...
That was a load of waffle wasn't it?!

Much more entertaining than "Yes".
If you can't get the brush part on the vacuum cleaner hose, just use the hose up close when you brush the dust with a paintbrush. My brush piece for the hose went missing months ago and I have to use this technique for lifting cement dust when I drop some on stone when it's impractical to wash it.

So, worst case scenario is i can use some sort of brush (scrubbing brush?) to brush off the dry dust and then follow with the hoover afterwards?
How hard can i scrub at the tiles to get paint splashes etc. off? They're not gloss - more like rough ceramic...

Yeah, when 'im indoors was emulsioning the ceiling and bit of wall he got paint splashes in some places. he wiped some of them off, but there are some remaining.
I am guessing that because they are ceramic tiles i can just gently scrub at them with something to get the paint off...?
