110 volt transformers

Post by fin »

I seem to remember once seeing a small transformer. smaller than the usual 2 socket type that are usually used. anyone know any sites selling these?

ive recently bought a hitachi circular from wickes. unfortunately i didnt realise it was 110v till after id bought it. it was the last tool in the shop and they dont sell them now so i couldnt go and swap it for a 240 model.

i usually do domestic work so all my stuff is 240

Whereabouts are you? I saw some in the B&Q at East Kilbride but they were end of line stock.

You probably need about 1.5 kva for that, for an extra £10, id be tempted to go for a 3kva anyway.

I often watch people struggle, moving a box about on the end of a 240 lead.... buy a 110v lead aswell, (not a roll up) Saves moving the box all day long.

I expect the saw is twice the power of a drill though ;)
