slate tile??

Post by petrie »

I bought what I thought was a slate tile and had it laid in the bathroom.
N ow Im onto the kitchen and hall and Ive bought the same, a tiler quoted and informed me that it wasnt slate but slate appearance.

What I need to know is as its seems to be porous should i seal them as if they are slate , as i was told in the shop originally.

Hope your not all hung over, and had a great new year

If they are absorbant, then I'd definately seal them before attempting to grout.

There is a good post here on slate tiles, not sure if slate effect tiles would use the same sealer or not though
