MP's vote on Thursday whether to exclude their expenses from the Freedom of Information Act.
As a line manager I had to validate all itemised expenses for my staff, which was time consuming but required by the Government so why can't they do the same.
If you follow the link above you can make your wishes known to your MP.

replied to my MP and insisted that she vote to make all MP's expenses public, but hey i'm not holding my breath
if you think about it though its really not in the publics interest to know where MP's get their plasmas, fitted kitchens, laptops, fitted bathrooms, home entertainment system, what sky package they have, mobile phone, DFS or SCS sofa, escort agency , flights to middle east & Russia, theatre shows tickets, how many times they eat at the Ivy
we should mind our own business after all it's not our money -oops yes it is.
they ask to be voted in, they say they want to serve their community, and then they moan about "how much it costs to travel to london" how my heart bleeds for 'em, YOU KNEW THIS WHEN YOU STOOD FOR ELECTION

im abit unsure over it, cos it would be good to know what they are spending our money on, but whats to stop a newspaper, coming out with MP for where bought some stationery for £10 but if they had gone two shops down they could of got it for £8.99 cos thats what they will do.
got to look at it from two points of view, keep it how it is, with the MP's working on there duties or taking time away from that doing accounts, all so we can see what they are spending and hope fully save money, but all that will happen is the MP's with hire another assistant on god nows what wage to do there accounts.

I just got an E-mail back from my local labour MP(no i didnt vote for her) and you will not believe her answer to my question.
I asked if she would vote to keep MP's expenses to be made public.
Her answer was and this is the actual reply:
Thank you for your letter about the vote that was planned for Thursday
in the House of Commons in relation to the regulation of MPs'
expenses. The proposals have now been withdrawn as the Conservatives
have suddenly gone back on the position which had been agreed
previously in all-party discussions. However, as there has been
considerable confusion about this issue I thought it would be helpful
to explain the background.
MPs are currently able to claim for certain specified expenses in
connection with the staff and office facilities they need in order to
carry out their work at Westminster and in their constituencies, and
in order to provide for secondary accommodation either in their
constituency or in London. The money is administered by the House of
Commons and paid against invoices – MPs do not receive the money
themselves.
The government is keen to ensure that the system is modernised to ensure that:
- there is a very clear set of rules, which is publicly available
- all claims should require an invoice or receipt to be provided
- a robust audit of all claims should be carried out regularly by the
National Audit Office
- the public should know how much has been claimed for what
The proposals (copy attached) had been agreed in all-party discussions
and it was on this basis they were referred for a free vote on
Thursday.
The Conservatives have just this week gone back on their previous
agreement and tried to turn it into a Party Political issue. I guess
this means the cross-party discussions will now be reconvened to try
to get to another agreement – although of course there is no guarantee
the Conservatives will stick with the next agreement either. All this
does is mean the whole package of measures, including the more robust
audit, will continue to be delayed.
Now talk about going round the houses and not actually saying which way she will vote and then blaming the Tories for this when it's on the news the tories/lib dems want to make their expenses part of the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT but labour have said that was not what was agreed
