bloody cars

Post by Hoovie »

ok - time for a grump ...

driving home yesterday from Reading to Devon - in convoy with mrs and she goes about 4mph tops

about 9 miles ahead of her on A303 I get a call ...."My exhaust has just fallen off"

asked her how long it has been a problem - now this is the woman who thought sparks coming from the brakes were nothing to worry about, so who knows how long the exhaust been loose!

anyway .. turn round and go back to find her and have a look. this part of the A303 is dual carriageway so it is a 20 mile drive to get to next turning place, turn round and then turn round other end as well.

park up behind her and leave my main beam lights on so I can see what I am doing under the car in the pouring rain.
Sort out the exhaust (and put half of it in her car) and she drives off.

Try and start my car - f**** battery is dead - after 10-15mins of lights on without engine??
Why do toyota fit a Yaris battery in a 2.0L 4x4??

so now I have to call her and she has to turn round and do this 20 mile loop (at 4mph) to come back to me so I can jump start my car.

Lovely drive to the West Country, it was.

:angryfire:
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Hoovs who's a silly boy. Won't do that again will you

Should have left your engine running.

I always do, keeps the battery topped up, especially if you had flashers etc. on also.
