Tiling On Top of Melamine

Post by shebanjoed »

I have an old melamine splashback on kitchen wall which cannot be removed.

Is it possible to tile over it?

You would have to check with the tile adhesive manufacturer to be 100% sure.

But if you have the room (depthwise) you can always nail some exterior grade plywood or aquapanel to the melamine and then tile ontop of that
