Clear acrylic glues

Trying to sell a caravan until daughter number 1 managed to put two big cracks in one of the windows.

Its an old window, £360 for a pattern replacement or £80 for a one piece acrylic replacement.

Thought I would have a go at repairing it myself so am on the lookout for a clear finish acrylic glue.

The splits are quite big, one about 12" the other had a piece broken out of
it so its quite a big job.

Anybody able to recommend a suitable acrylic glue, or could I get away with a good quality superglue. I don't like using that as I generally end up gluing my fingers together and I don't think there would be enough working time if it slipped while getting them together.

Tensol cement can be used to glue acrylic, but you might still see the crack after it has been glued.

Super glue can make the acrylic turn white and so is not a good idea.

try a Polyurethane adhesive/sealant, most caravan manufacturers use them to add strength to the bond area, Sika are the main guys but very expensive, you could also use Plexus structural adhesives.

Not all superglues bloom or whiten, but they are quite brittle, you need something with a bit of flexibility anf the Polyurethane will do that.

Tensol is basically a solvented pipe cement, it will bond it depending on the joint.

Thanks, but I have already bought the Tensol 70.

I know its a professional item but I had to buy 500ml when I only need a drizzle to try and repair a couple of cracks.

However the alternative, a pattern part especially made, was also very expensive.
