Hi everyone! Great forum growing here!

Ok. My question is to all the bathroom installers/tilers out there.

I have ripped off my walltiles in my bathroom exposing holes, bumps blaa blaa......

I have read up on this stuff called Auquboard.....now, can I screw this onto my walls (after i have leveled them the best i can) then tile over? After I have prepared it as in the demos of course.

You see the thing is.. I aint the best plasterer in the world, so i was kinda hoping this would save my bacon.

Cheers. Lee.

Hi and Welcome

Are the holes/bumps casued by existing adhesive remaining? If so then hack this away as best as you can, doesn't have to be totally smooth. When you re-tile use the adhesive to fill in the holes and to level the bumps. The down side is you go thru' more adhesive.

I think putting up any form of plasterboard is an extra expense and work and will add to the thickness of the wall. You will still need a certain amount of level before putting the plasterboard up as you will in re-tiling in my comments above.
