Tiled room leaks

Hi Chaps. Quick question. I have just been to price up a job. In the room below the bathroom the ceiling had obviously collapsed at some point and been replastered, but still had a lot of water damage, from the bathroom above. The bath/shower wall had virtually no grout in one section and the sealant around the bath was poor. Will I be ok just to fully grout and redo the sealant? I'm guessing the room was never tanked, but don't want to have to take all the tiles off ( well I do, but custy doesn't
) ??
Best suggestions?
Thanks
Martin

I think you've answered your own question there tequila, especially if customer doesn't want tiles off
If there was no grout or sealant I personally would want to see how its affected the wall behind, but again if customer says no!
If I get jobs like this, I usually tell the customer that I can't guarantee the job as all I'm doing is 'papering over the cracks' so to speak. I tell them that I can re-grout & silicone but iftiles are loose to the wall then it could happen again pretty sharpish.
I charge my time it takes plus materials but give no guarantee of quality
