Shower Tray Installation - to rebate or not

Hi all AGAIN :)
Ive bought a Mira Flight shower tray and just want to know what you guys think about the installation of this tray which has two tiling upstands.
The shower enclosure we have has an adjustment of 20mm so there is a little bit of play in that
We have been told that you can rebate the upstands into the two walls very very slightly and then tile over......however the tiles for the walls are pretty thick......id say the tiles are around 10mm thick in total......thats for two tiles
Therefore this will take away from my 20mm adjustment plus the fact that there is adehsive to go on aswell
My question is really whether these upstands should be rebated or not.....its a tricky one......... dont want to install the tray and tile then to find out the enclosure doesnt fit.....that would be a complete mare
Thanks again
