check the type of tile you have, ceramic or porcelain, and hire a Rubi scribe cutter, and or wet cutter from most good tile shops, or your local hire centre, the cheap tile cutters won't usually be up to the job, with a 9mm thick tile, you may get jagged cuts, or more wastage than neccessary.

ceramic, not bought yet, would the above be ok, was looking at 600 watt electric £100, would rather buy then hire, but if it wont do the job, will have to hire, £100 is top i would pay

The diamond blades in the electric wheel cutters last a long time, or should I say the one that I have has lasted and they are not much for a new one.
