Take up the lino and use Bag adhesive (cement base fast setting)

Depends on wot the floor is? (Wooden floorboards or Cement Screed)

If floorboards...........overboard with min 12mm ply, then use a flexible powdered adhesive and grout

If concrete.......use a powdered adhesive suitable for your tiles. (Porcelain or ceramic?)
