Were all the old tiles still attached when you got there? If so, it was remarkable.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

I've finally made a start on my bathroom floor, tiles are 413mm square Mapisa ceramic. The suction is amazing when I have to lift one, because there isn't enough Proflex adhesive underneath. Lippage is worse than I wanted, getting the water/powder proportions exactly right is not easy for me, too wet, and the tiles slide and settle. I need an assistant to mix, and clean tools for me. Ah, well.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

It worrying, as unless you were browsing forums like this, most people might suspect that something was not quite right but not confident to question the tilers

I didn't know that it wasn't recommended to tile straight onto boards before I joined here

In fact in my brothers house he has gone for the top notch tiles in the kitchen and 5 have broken so far. My Dad was there at the time and questioned the tiler but was told to "leave it to the pros".
