Hi

I have been asked by my boss at work to put together a quote to tile the staff toilets (it is my own fault they asked if i would fit a little kitchen which i did and now everything is coming my way).

I am assuming that i would be best to go for anti-slip tiles (don't want anyone having a reason for a claim now ) but with it been a staff toilet are there any regs i have to follow? What adhesive should i use, can i use just normal stuff? Dose the grout have to be anything specific?

I have done a search and found lots of anti-bacteria grouts etc but not sure if i have to use one.

Can anyone advise me

anti-slip tiles - there are specific anti-slip floor tiles on the market, with a flamed or sanded tecture, some porcelain tiles now have a built in anti-slip coating, but most floor tiles are fit for purpose.
regs i have to follow - depending on substrate, type of use..
What adhesive should i use - again depending on your substrate, and choice of grout

what's the substrate, screed, wood ??

Right sorry should have put the info in.. right im no builder but we belive it is eucrete

if the floor is screed and not a floating floor, use normal rapid set adhesive and grout, if its floating, you'll need to uncouple the floor with ditra mat ( http://www.schluter.co.uk/matting.aspx ) and use flexible adhesive and grout, hope it helps

I am not sure what else i will need to know i have measured the floor space and it is approximately 20m2 so i need to find some tiles ( i was going for big, less to lay) i could do with some recommendations on which brands to use and which to stay clear off, are there any tools which will help,

My boss also wants mosaic tiles on the wall, there are no problems using these in a factory toilet block are there?

Mosaic's require a totally true / flat surface and require expert knowledge of setting out and time served fixing, if you are not experienced in fixing them, stay clear of them, or there could be trouble ahead, good luck, most tile tile shops qill sell something adequate, but mosaics do require experience in installing
