I have just had the floor tiled, nice job and all that, but the grouting has dried in a lighter grey than what we thought. :cb
Is there a product that I can use to go over the grout to make it a darker grey?.

Yes wash it after a week of use, that usually turns it grey

Cheers Mike for the info, :-) and thanks Dewalt for yours. :-P

I have spent the best part of 4 hours yesterday, getting the grout powder/dust or whatever the ferck it was of the face of the floor tiles.

I have never seen anything like it, and I have had tiling done before in the home, plus I go in after tilers to decorate, but never come across anything like it.

It was like grey patches all over the face of the tiles, and it couldnt get up with soapy water, but I have removed it now.

Is this usual, or did I have a lazy tiler who didnt clean up as he went along?

I wasnt at home when he was tiling, so I didnt see if he wiped up after him, would be intereisting to hear the tilers views on this. :-)

the grout had a flexible additive probably, and yes the residue left on the tiles should have been washed off prior to drying.

Thanks for reply :-) Was getting worried there incase no tilers had experienced this lol.

They were porcelain tiles, with grey grouting, we had to by some stuff to wash it off with.

The thing is, I left him cloths, buckets, ( Barsteward nicked one, but luckily it was the one with the hole in it) only joking  it was the one with the broken handle.
Left him a broom, and dustpan and brush, the lazy barsteward couldnt be bothered to sweep up and left the debris in the corner, so I left it there.

Cheeky bu55er left something on charge, so being hard done by cause he never swept up, and there was a bit of grout mess on my cupboards, fridge, washing machine etc, I wont mention the paintwork  I turned his charge off.
