tiling on new plaster

Hi, not done much tiling b4. I have got to tile on to new plaster, does this need any preping (sealing with sbr?) or anything else. I now it depends on the adhesive, not sure at the moment what one it will be.

Just follow the adhesive manafacturers advice. If it says to prime with a specific product you should use that or else it may invalidate the guarantee etc.

There are even some tile adhesives that recommend you PVA the wall first

thanks for that. ended up phoning mapei, they said that the adhesive I had didn't need any priming. mapestik found it to be a very good adhesive.
