Makita Warranty

Cant see any mention of a warranty with the drill I bought last may, charger has gone tits up, any ideas fellas????

Have you got the receipt?

I'm sure all electrical items should have at least a 12 month warranty by law.

My order history is on SF, have contacted them, Tim on TT reckons they will replace it, fingers crossed. I have hardly used it. Built a kitchen last year, thats been it really.

Iv'e never sent anything back to screwfix, But I don't think you will have a problem with it :wink:

i only buy tools from a local dealer now. i show him the online price and i dont ask him to match it, just see if he can get close. he normally does.
any problems it is easier to sort.

I asked SF last night how to get in touch with Makita, just got the email, my order has been processed and despatched, charge £0.00 :thumbright:

i have found sfd really good for returns.

As for makita, they have service centers all over the country. You phone makita and they tell you where to take the tool, and a few days later, its fixed. (for free if under warranty)
