Just spotted this website whilst in college.
I am 18 and from Ellesmere Port in Cheshire.
I study ICA Painting and Decorating levels 1 and 2 at Handbridge college in Chester and also do web-design on the side.
As for work I have not yet found a work placement so I am just working at Jaeger on Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port.

Hi Steve,
welcome to the forum
There are quite a few people on here from Cheshire, I think about 5 or 6 at the last count!
How long have you been looking for a placement?

I have only just started college this September mate.
I'm not sure if I'm ready to get myself on a placement just yet though!
I was looking to enter the construction industry and have got an eager eye on becoming self-employed when I have completed my time in college.
I don't mean becoming self-employed straight away but I have certainly got my eye on it in the next 2 or 3 years.

Oh right,
I thought you had finished and was looking for a job
Painting and decorating is good to get into, I have a friend and I once phoned him for a quote and he was booked solid for three months in advance!
Going self employed is the way to go for sure, you don't want to be working for someone else. It's much better being your own boss
