Where to start tiling from on different flooring

I have some chipboard flooring down and this meets screed about halfway across the room. Chipboard is sort of a giant l-shape.

So is it ok to go across both surfaces with a tile or should i try and keep the joins across them. It would be easy if it was straight across.
