floor tile adhesive thickness

I have bought myself some 8mm porcelain tiles. These are going to be laid on 18mm m/r tounge & groove chipboard and also screed. I do not have a lot of clearance from an internal opening back door (upvc).

what thickness should the tiles be laid on or could i get away with?
