Hi everyone, This is my first posting so please treat me gently, lol.
Is this weird or what?
When I am trying to download a new page off the internet say the next news story from BBC or what ever, and my wife is using the microwave, as the microwave is drawing power (eg cooking) the page stops loading. Then as the power dips for a few seconds the page carries on loading.
What on earth is going on?
Any help will do, but don't say tell her to use the oven instead, its my tea she's sorting, hee heeeee (calls out) " hurry up love"

Its the electrical waves from the microwave effecting your modem.
When i had a crt monitor and the microwave was on becuase they backed onto each other even through a wall my screen would distort due to the magnetic filed generated by the microwave. Yoe modem must be reasonably close to the microwave i would say

I thought Imac was for removing hair on ladies' legs.

As Lamntile says it is the microwave field around the router that is probably causing it.

If it's a big problem (many times a day) move one or the other, preferable the microwave to the shed.

Thanks Paul for the fast reply, I forgot to mention that the Microwave is in fact through a brick wall but is about 15' away.
Maybe also, the reason why my wife and I suffer Migraine headaches, or her cooking, who knows. javascript:emoticon('')

Thanks Paul for the fast reply, its not a big problem but just annoying.
I think I may scrap the Microwave,,, come to think of it I could scrap the wife and start over, but there's no way its going in the shed,,,,,,,, it mite start effecting my tools or my beer pump, lol
Oh the other thing is I should have called it Apple Mac but I can't spell it.
My Mrs tried that Imac a few years ago. It took all the hair off her head, none off her back, just her head,,,,,,, haaaaa lol

I think your right, anyway it seems its the wrong type off imac iv'e been using on the web,, it should have been the Applemac.

I have the Macbook pro and that's not affected by the microwave, so maybe the problem is with that leaking.

sounds like the microwave is on the fritz, possibly leaking radiation, my uni had one which used to cause all manner of hassle, techs knew when it was on as the wireless lan started dropping packets like crazy.
So yeah toss the microwave and replace.

Are you using a wireless connection? Microwaves are known to affect wireless signals.
