Has anyone a good recommendation for low usage core drill kits. there are several on ebay for 50 - 90 pounds. I won't need to cut many holes, but to buy a set is going to be cheaper than hiring. I have a good Bosch SDS drill and need to cut holes for kitchen waste pipes and boiler flue pipes.

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum.

I have a set of core drills that I bought from Silverline. I have tried a few of silverline's tools and they have been useless, but the core drills are OK.

Buying a cheap set makes much more sense than hiring as if you only use them occassionally they will last you for years!

TLC have a decent set for sale- http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/ ... index.html

But you need to check that it contains the sizes that you need!

The ones on ebay should be ok, it would not surprise me if all of the worlds core drills are made in a couple of factories.
