Just checked here and it's 25mm minimum-

floor tiling

I was asking what type as natural stone tiles, require even more rigidity.

Manufacturers Recommendations do change over the years and I believe that fitting 25mm ply on top of joist and tiling straight on top could well be problematic.

Unless of course you can install a single sheet of 25mm ply over the whole floor. If not, the joints are always going to be liable to crack, even if all joints are studded out or joined along the length of a joist. If you imagine two bits of 25mm ply joined along the length of a joist, what happens when the next joist along on either side moves?.....crack!!

You will be better off with an uncoupling membrane ontop of the 25mm ply or use chipboard flooring and overboard with 18mm ply or Tilebacker board glued and screwed, then taped at all joints.
