Having spent half my nightshift trawling the net(we are allowed internet access what a company to work for lol) and after Bathsyle's views i'm thinking of tanking the shower area with the Bal wp products, the shower area is about 90cm160cm and will probably be raised a little to contain the water(the wife fancies some led lights in the raised base) also with a screen, then using the Schluter Ditramat on the remaining floor area on top of a ply substrate.A couple of questions....what to use to fix Devimat heating to the Ditra is it stickybacked will that suffice?and has anyone any preferences for a make of shower try and drain?rasonable price to quality ratio!

I personally would not use Bal WP1 for the tanking, on the walls yes maybe but not on the floor.
Get yourself an Aquadec pre formed tray, then tank it with either Schluter Kerdi or Homelux matting.
To give you an idea of cost, Aquadec is in the region of £350 for a standard square waste and another £100 or so on top for the linear waste. It's an extremely well made product and nothing I have fitted comes close.
Homelux Matting is about £40 for a 5m x 1m roll.
It should be adhered to the aquadec with a two part adhesive like Bal fastflex or even Toppfix two part adhesive which is probably £20 or so. You will most likely find that you won't get a trade discount so expect to pay in the region of 40% more than a Tradesman
It should look something like this:-
A cheaper option for it all would be a Marmox tray.
