Same voltage, different amperage

Post by wonderbison »

Hi
I have a 2 Toshiba laptops. Long story but one was sent for repair. Company instead sent replacement. So I have the power brick for the old one but I think it should be safe with the new one. Well thats what they said but want confirmation if possible.

Brick details for what it should be is detailed as
Input 100-240V 50-60GHz - 1.5A
Output 19V approx 3.95A

The brick I am wondering if is okay to use has details of
Input 100-240V 50-60GHz - 1.6A
Output 19V approx 4.74A (Max 90W)

I am thinking it will be but want to be sure

Thanks
