Post by PETER R »

had a leaflet through the other day telling me all i had to do was phone for my free box , so ok done the call last night , free box , no chance £60 instal fee plus an extra £9.75 for some other package .
you could tell from the operators tone of voice that she was fed up telling people it wasnt free , been a sky customer now for years ok dont have the whole package but have suscribed to the sport channel for the length of time ive been with them .
bit of a con unless im missing something here

Edit: Clicked the thanks button instead of reply,

From 'Digital Spy':

t's the most expensive Free box ever. Its not just the install cost which in its self is reasonably low but the sting is that if you get a Sky+HD box and don't subscribe to Sky TV then you will not be able to record or playback any channels.

You also connot get ITV HD on any Sky box with any epg info so its pretty useless for just watching free TV.

Your £10 HD charge is infact £120 ever year. It sounds like mini Murdoch is trying to "LAND GRAB. THATS CHILLING."

Sky boxes are all made to a price so as many on DS will testify they are not very reliable and are not very good if you want to watch any channels that are not on the Sky EPG. It's FREE what do you expect?

Get a cheap freesat HD box £69.00 from Argos or a REAL Freesat box from Maplin.

But you cannot tell him much.
