Hi guys, i know this should prob be in electrical, but its really something the joiners may have come across. a customer of mine wants some lighting, under her wall units, but she wants to be able to plug them into a socket and run them underneath, she really dont want to go down the route of removing tiles and chopping into the main switch, so are there any on the market that will fit flush undrneath and just plug in?? thx :thumbright:

Is there not a pelmet around the wall units?

Check out this flexible stick-on LED strip:

http://www.deslamps.co.uk/metre-self-ad ... -5399.html

Bit expensive maybe but ticks all the boxes. The site has a live chat which I have used to get their advice, give it a try.

Let me know if you do use it, I'm thinking of using it on an upcoming job.

I got these....(4th down)

http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/ ... index.html

I have 3 of them linked together with a plug on one end. I plug it in to a remote control socket similar to these http://www.ryness.co.uk/ProductDetails. ... uctID=3804 so all I need to hand is the wee remote box.

One remote can work several sockets if the lights have to be separately plugged in.

(I have pelmets but I've seen these in kitchens with no pelmets as well btw.)

I'm not sure I fully understand the question. The customer wants to plug them in to a socket so why is there any question of having to tap in to the main switch?

My confusion aside... Is there any chance of reaching a power source above the cabinets? For example, could you drop a supply down from the floor above? If the customer is happy to have them switch on at the same time as the room light then it makes even more sense to use the room light supply.

(I'm not an electrician...)

Could try these, cheap option, they can be plugged in to eachother giving a longer strip, and are really thin.
