Good day everyone, I dont know if UHM does this, but I just wanted to find out how I can set up a website for my business without having to pay through my nose?

I advertised in the local papers and a so called ' Touch Local' (unheard of company) got in touch & tricked me out of £300 from my credit card. I cancelled with them after a few weeks but they keep asking 4the remaining balance of £600, claiming I cant cancel? I have pleaded with them to MAKE MY DAY & take me to court. so far, they are dragging their feet???

Others have also been in touch. Yell (also signed-up but cancelled after a month). They say I'll be billed in 6wks time. I told them I'll pay not a penny. Yesterday, Thompsons rang. I told them I had had enough??? :angryfire:

So there you are. Help point me to the right direction if You have any ideas.

Many thanks

my websites are created and hosted through
http://smallbusiness.officelive.com/en-GB/

Hosting is free, and you pay between £8 and £11 per year for the domain

Very good and very cheap, never crashed, easy to create........cant really beat it i would say (for the money)

My sites are on page one of google no problem with my keywords.

http://wilmslowpressurewashing.co.uk/default.aspx

Another one is google ads, i get the most phonecalls through new customers clicking the advert, instead of the actual search listing
http://www.adwords.google.co.uk

about 50p per click

Another no brainer is to put your buisness on google maps
http
http://www.google.co.uk/help/maps/tour/ ... ess_search

Its free, and gets you between the sponsored links, and the search results for nothing.........another no brainer :-)

If you google 'pressure washing wilmslow' you will see the sponsored link (may not display if you are not it this area), the google map link, and then the website search results, all on page one.
