I removed a showermate pump this week... anyone what it? Postage may be a bit steep, as a heavy lump of pump!

Really, really stupid question, but will that draw up water from the tank, then down and across to the shower?

generally thats what pumps do, though the wording of your question could be somewhat ambiguous. when you say draw UP from the tank what exactly do you mean, its generally better to have the pump located below the tank in the instances ive found.
if there is insufficient head to feed the shower then a negative head kit can be fitted

That's why I used the word up.
The tank's in the airing cupboard, the pump is in the loft.

Probably is. But seeing as that's how it was when I moved into the house I'm not going to spend unnecessary money changing it.
Have you actually got anything constructive to add to this thread?

providing the pump & oulets ar below the level of water in the cold tank, then youonly need a normal pump, like the one I want to give away.
If the outlets above the water tank, then you need a negitive head version.

Richie,
Quick question, do you have a shower at the moment and just want better pressure?
