Post by DIY_Johnny »

I was moveingt a phone socket recently and was about to buy this IDC Punch Down Tool from Maplin £15

Checked ebay, £2.89 incl delivery, got it a day later. Checked Maplin and its the exact same tool :thumbright:

Always worth checking ebay for just about anything before you buy. I invariable forget myself

I have been buying and selling on ebay for about 10 years and have only ever had one bad experience with a kid selling something and then claiminghe never got my money and having to send a postal order , cashed it and still not got any goods. That was a long time ago now. I did have a small isssue with one seller just this week though ,i am still trying to work out if he has actually broken any rules.

bought dvd from him on ebay, delivery took over a week ,got home yesterday to find a package from amazon . Couldnt remember ordering anything from amazon but opened it to find the dvd from my ebay purchase. He had bought it from amazon had it dispatched direct to me from amazon and had bought it for a bit less than i paid for it so he basically re-sold amazons goods. No mention of amazon whatsoever in the listing .

Very bizarre.

If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL

I have had that ebay/amazon dvd thing as well. I just thought it was a very clever system to make money with an automatic system.

What it made me do was look at amazon a bit more when it comes to prices

I've had this too, and like the previous poster i'd check other places like amazon and play before I bought again.

Mind you, you have to give them credit for making money from nothing.

EBAY

We use Ebay for advertising and selling our granite worktops. Although its a dog eat dog world on there... with people using pre vat pricing to attract interest. There seems to be a ryanair pricing trend!

Although you can definately get some bargains !
