Ladder

I think handyman has the same ladder as moi. About 3" above the second rung on the top and middle sections is a domeheaded bolt with 5 washers under it. I dont know what its purpose is. Its not on the bottom section.

Its nowhere near the lock, or the ladder hooks etc, I am just curious, as its been but there for a reason. This is it.

as far as i know its a safety stop so you cant extend them beyond a 2 rung overlap...........i think

Extending them is fun, couldnt imagine how I'd get anywhere near that. I used the top section to climb up, to extend the middle section on the bottom section if that makes sense. In the past Ive bounced off the wall raising it a rung at a time, is there a safe way of doing this I dont know about???

but i have cut them off the largest of the 3 parts (and an other thing that keeps the ladders shut) so that you can remove the largest section and just use it as a two part ladder as well.

Removal of a safety device, that reminds me, I always thought the little teat on the end of a condom was to aid removal by standing on.
