New Year...must finish the house this year, im thinking of making the cupboards myself and buying the doors and worktops. Whats are people thoughts on this?

Thinking of using mainly 18mm mdf for most of the work, does this sound ok??

i have got most normal tools what other special tools do you recon i mite need??

Any helpful comments are welcome!!

in a word you would have to be nuts lol

if you are talking about standard kitchen units and doors then its cheaper to buy the carcases

if you are talking making non standard design then finnishing in a non standard way then doing it yourself will be cheaper as a bespoked kitchen is several times the price but are your skills and tools up to very accurate work !!!

if its of interest, there is a sale on B&Q, up too 50% off. I had a look at the kitchen units this week and they don't seem too bad actually
