Hi,
I am making a shower cubicle out of an adjoining walk in cupbored to an excisting Toilet. I aim to Aquapanel the shower area and have removed the existing plasterboard on two walls however the last wall is an adjoining double skinned wall with the adjoining property (the house is a timber framed construction) and was wondering how to proceed. I had thought of tanking the shower area prior to Tiling.
1. Do I take off the double skinned Plasterboard, batten out and apply a single skin of Aquapanel ?
2. Double skin with Aquapanel ? (does this effect the moisture properties of the board ?)
3. Aquapanel over the existing board (this would reduce the size of tray that I could have, (would prefer a 1000 x 1000)
I was thinking of removing all the double skinned plasterboard and adding insulation to the voids to aid soundproofing/insulation. It would also help hide the pipework. If I did this would I replace the boards (in the non shower) area with a double skin of MR Plasterboard ?
Hope it's not to confusing,
Regards
Micci
