hi

I am about to start a project to re-tile a bathroom which is a shower area and a splash back, including going round a window. This is my first large tiling project and I intend to use a manual tile cutter and tile saw. I have plenty of time and even more patience.

Is it best to choose a thin tile, say 6mm, or a slightly thicker tile at 8mm?

The better quality tiles, and therefore the better looking ones, seem to be 8mm.

anyone will do mate, your dry and wet cutters will be able to cut thro them both with no probs.

use a bagged addy and grout, get your set up all ok..i.e. cuts in corners, cuts at top and bottom off walls, centre window etc..
maybe look into a tanking membrane in your wet area.
