I'm installing a new shower tray and have found a good 800x800mm shower tray from plumbworld. Looking more closely the outside measurements is 82cm width. Now I have removed the old show tray and tiles, the space from one wall to the other is 83cm. Just too big. I want to tile down to the tray's upstand and get a good seal.
Problem is what do I do with the 10mm (5 mm each side)?
Thanks - sorry if this should be in the Plumbing forum :)

hardibacker is a cement based backer board for tiling onto, its more imperviuos to water than plasterboards or wet wall plaster made by james hardy(google them) ! and your "addy bed" is the term for the depth of the tile adhesive on the wall or floor!
better to board all round to keep things square you will have a better finish when tiled as in equal cuts and such! also if you have an 830 gap line with 12mm boards both sides leaves you 806 - 800 for the tray leaves you 3mm gap either side then silicone around tray then once your tiles are on you will have approxamitly 12mm on the tray then another hit of silicone and you are well and truly watertight (if youve done it right)
