Adaware

Post by gas4you »

Anyone had any problems with the latest version?

I upgraded last night and my PC totally froze.

Did a system restore today and got it back working, so tried again and it cocked up my PC again.

Removed it all now, ran Ccleaner and all is well.

Heard any problems about this on win 7 64 bit?

Had a search but haven't come across a multitude of complaints about it.
Did you install thye new version on top of the old?
If you still want to use it, a complete uninstall and the re boot and install the new version may help but . . . . .

. . . . for what it is worth, Dave, I would do without it.

Not used it for about four years now.

What antispyware do you have, I trust one is a real-time program.

Updating and scanning with MBAM and/or SAS once a week, along with a real-time Antispyware and a good antivirus and a firewall should normally be enough.
The best security program is common sense.

I run Malware bytes about 3-4 times a week and have my Kaspersky internet security 2010.

I think I am pretty well covered without it.

Seems adequate to me.
You only need to run Mbam about once a week UNLESS your computer starts acting a bit 'funny'.
