little giant ladders

Post by handyman »

I have had the 5 rung version for 2 years now. Superb stuff, highly recommended. Extremely stable in use. Use them almost every day. Watch the video on link above.

One thing to watch is you get fake versions of these ladders at markets etc. They are really poor quality, and the center hinge on them are just dangerous.

You get what you pay for with these.

I have always wanted a little giant, just can't see paying that kind of price yet. It would come in hand having to paint the walls over the stairs. I would say the wall is about 14 ft tall.

i use them almost every day. Well worth the money. I think most would think they are a bit of a gimmick (and costly), till you see the weight loading spec and quality, and multi uses of them.

Just had a pair of these arrive today, after a quick inspection I hopefully won't need to buy ladders again in this lifetime!

Cheapest I could find them was from best direct

I got the four rung version, I would say it's the perfect size for DIY, I shouldn't have any problem reaching anything in or on my house that I will be meddling with.

The wheels work well, you have to have the ladder on quite an incline before they touch the ground though but you would expect this for safety.

I got a work platform as well, it's very comfortable.

Been up in the loft of our new house for the first time tonight, they were rock solid.

I hadn't heard of these until I read your comments on here, so thanks for the tip! :thumbright:

do the wheels 'glide' ? Just asking as i also have a little giant jumbo step, and the wheels just kind of scrape along the ground........i think this may be due to lack of weight over the wheels, plus wheels are moulded plastic, and not rubber for grip

The wheels glide well, I've tried them on tiles and carpet. They are made from that semi soft plastic that feels rubbery. The ladders are plenty heavy enough to stop them dragging.

good, glad to hear they have done them correctly

the jumbo steps dont have enough weight behind them and are hard plastic..........almost useless.

Look like great ladders. When I've got a spare £250 burning a hole in my pocket I'll probably buy a 6-tread Pro. Lifetime warranty on the Pro versions...now that's something I like :-) Could turn out to be quite a bargain long-term

Wasn't sure whether you were joking or not tbh...and hadn't realised my post was that late, I replied off the first page and it didn't occur to me that it might be out of date, this must be a really quiet forum
