Hello,
I have a York stone floor in my kitchen, which I plan to clean up and restore.
I have two questions about this, which I'm hoping someone can help with.
1) There are some cracks in the mortar - is there something I can use to fill the cracks to improve the overall appearance of the floor? The floor is actually laid on joists (there is a basement below) so I expect some movement is inevitable.
2) Can anyone recommend what I should use to seal the floor after I have cleaned it up? I have searched the web, but seem to have come up against lots of conflicting advice on this one!
Thanks for reading! Let me know if you need more info to help answer these questions.

Hi,
Have used boiled linseed oil to seal internal york stone before, although the last 3-4 floors i,ve laid we used Lithofin stain stop which is a sealer for natural stone, and although it is quite pricey it seems to be what most suppliers recommend

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments..
