Hi there, not sure if this is quite where to ask but I'M Really stumped!

I have a woodworking morticing attatchment but have a small metalworking pillar drill. The morticing attatchment fits on to the quill shaft of the drill so it does not spin but does move up and down with the drill head. The attatchment is cast iron and 60mm but the shaft is 40mm. what i need is a reducer thing that will allow them to fit together,

can anyone think of somthing that could do the job without making it from a chunk of metal which i cant do? the attatchment is from sealey or machinemart.

any help no matter how off the wall would be really appriciated as I dont have the money to buy a different pillar drill!

Cheers in advance,

GREGG

Why not drill and tap it for say 3 x m10 bolts in a triangle.

if you are talking mortising timber
a pillar drill is in no way man enough to excert the amount off force required evenly
you can buy adaptors but they are c rap[dwd will back me up here ] :thumbright:

machine mart used to do them
