Never used them, but Makita are well liked by most people.

tis A decent drill with plenty of torque got mine in b&Q on on of there 20% off days for the same money (on special at 99.98) rrp was 199.98

its nicely balanced the hammer is fine for putting in rawplugs/bolts

iirc makita and b&D are going over to li-ion batterys now

edit. The charger is 2.6A so charges the battery in 30 mins or so by the looks of it, it will take the early stick packs too

thats a great price, I got my 18V Makita for 145 is a sale. Was a good price at the time as it had a 3A Li-On battery. Can't knock 80 quid for a makita. They are a fine tool

Batteries may not last long but you get 2 so so no problem really!

there is a 14V on axminster for 105 with 3 NiCad batteries. SF seems better value

Then again, I might stick them on ebay.

If someone had the time to list them, they would make a profit on them.

You could split them up and you would probably get even more money.

The chargers go for about £25
Batteries about £20+ each
Case £5

That means that if you sell the bare drill for more than £10 you are in profit.

There will of course be ebay and paypal fees etc.

I did this with the bosch 10.8 stuff they had on offer last year. Just about covered my own driver and impact. Paypal and ebay do take a fair chunk though.
Even better if you get their 10% off email offers they send out now and then.

I just got emailed a 10% discount email from screwfix.

So I went to look at the drill again as I was going to buy more. They have now put " Only 1 per customer- cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer"

Uhm that is the hitachi you are talking about am i right,when you bought them for 70 was that with the torch,was that just for you or all customers.
