Printer problem

I have a relatively new lap-top (Windows 7) . When I try to print a document with Microsoft Works Word Processor, a message comes up (eventually) saying 'Word Processor not reponding'...........any help??

Open document, Click on "File", from the drop down list select "Print"........Select YOUR printer...MS will prob have a non-existant one as default..this should print...if not :scratch:

My Epson did that to me when I changed a cartridge, I think something was spooling, or un-finished.

Anyway I turned everything off, and re-booted the computer and it worked :scratch:

What version of MS Works is it?

Set your printer as the default:
Click Start -> if 'Devices & Printers' is in the start menu, click it, or type Printers in the search box and click Devices and Printers.
When opened, right click your printer icon and tick to set as Default.
You will probably also have an icon for Microsoft XPS Document Printer and one for Fax, but select your printer as default.
