I am having a problem deleting links that I have parked on the desktop.
I went into the Desktop file and deleted everything I wanted rid of and the links and icons on the Desktop disappeared. Next time I booted up the computer the screen repopulated with all the links I thought I had deleted.
How do I do it?
I am using Vista Business.
Thanks

Are the icons actually shortcuts?
If you double click them do they take you to the files concerned or do you get an error mesage that they file association does not exist?
If they open one of the files that you thought you had deleted then it must be a copy.
Try to find where the copy is located and go there to delete it.

You can always tell a Yorkshireman,
But you cannot tell him much.
