i bought some 4x4 spotlights and don't know how wire them up to normal switch and plug??????



(thick) white 1
(thin) white 1
(thin) black 1

any help would be nice

Spot lights should be wired so that they can ONLY be switched on when full beam is on. (Unlike driving lights or fog lights.)

You do not supply enough information to answer your question but at a guess...
You need a thick black to the lights. (earth)
Thin white (only live when full beam is on) to the switch and thin white from the switch to the relay. Thick white, thin white (from the switch) and thin black to the relay and thick white from the relay to the lights.

There is a (thick) white wire and thats connected to the main Halogen bulb for the spotlight.

There is a (thin) white & black wire thats connected to the LED rim lights, but i've got that sorted so no worry. I just need help powering the halogen bulb

OK,
It all depends on what your existing fuses and relays are rated at and what size bulbs are in the spots (and how many spots) you are fitting.
As stated if the vehicle is to pass an MOT test in the UK Spots should ONLY be able to be turned on when main beam is activated.

IF, and its a BIG IF there is capacity in your existing fuses and relays to take the extra power of the additional lights the job is a lot simpler. You need a switch rated to switch the current the spots will pull. If 55w each (I think the 100w ones are now illegal) thats 110w which @12v is 9.17 amps.
so your switchand additional wiring must be rated at a MINIMUM 10a.
Find the thin wire powering your sidelights under the bonet (colour will vary from vehicle to vehicle) join this wire to your thin white and black.
Find the thick wire powering your MAIN BEAM under the bonet (colour will vary from vehicle to vehicle) join a wire to this and run it to your dash mounted switch and on from the switch to the thick white on your spots.
Earth your spots to the car chassis using a thick black wire.

Job done.
This MAY overload your existing fuses and relays in which case you will need to do the job the proper, more complicated way taking fused power direct from the battery and fitting an extra relay as in my first post. But I have done it the way I describe here on a mk3 escort using 100w spots and it did not overload the existing fuses or relays.
