Hole!

Spotted this on a job where we are doing some rectification works - sorting out someone elses errors. The column in the picture is a corner column to a 4 story building. All the floors are cast, meaning there is quite some load coming down.
The hole is a good 7m deep

, dug to put in some missing drainage.
Talk about good practice
Made me smile.

If you attached it and it doesn't show it could be too big.

Looks a bit nasty, I'm gussing that the Engineer gave the go ahead before the hole was dug. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to be that Site Manager.
